Cardboard Sculpture

We have cardboard chaos in 6th period and I am loving it! Everyone is having fun experimenting with structural problem-solving and some really nice sculptures are coming together.  We looked at the Cubist works of Pablo Picasso to draw inspiration for geometrical forms that have an emotion as subject matter. After completing their structures, students are using paint to help convey the emotion through color.

I invite you to browse this blog often to get a taste of my favorite part of my job - the process! Here I focus on students engaging with their work. If you are looking for final products, please visit our online gallery on Artsonia.
